Islamabad (Lord Media): President Asif Ali Zardari of Pakistan has welcomed the announcement of a memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran. President Zardari stated that this memorandum will pave the way for a final agreement and lay the foundation for lasting peace in the region.
President Zardari expressed pride in Pakistan’s support for dialogue and diplomacy. He hoped that this development would strengthen multilateral cooperation and promote the peaceful resolution of conflicts.
Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, also welcomed the US-Iran peace agreement. He stated that the agreement is a significant step towards reducing tensions and achieving peace through negotiations.
Bilawal Bhutto commended Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for advancing the process and appreciated the support of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
It is noteworthy that the formal signing ceremony of the agreement between Iran and the US will take place on June 19 in Switzerland.
