Storms in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa claim 7 lives

Peshawar (Lord Media): Seven people lost their lives and 33 were injured due to lightning strikes, storms, and heavy rains in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA).

In Bannu district, four individuals, including two children, died and 24 were injured as roofs and walls collapsed during the storm. Among the injured are nine children and nine women.

In Mansehra, lightning and heavy rains claimed the lives of two people, including a woman. In Shangla district, a lightning strike resulted in one fatality and left nine others injured, including five children and three women. Additionally, 25 livestock were killed.

PDMA reported that Rescue 1122, district administration, and other agencies are actively engaged in relief operations in the affected areas. District administrations have been instructed to expedite relief efforts and ensure immediate delivery of aid to the victims.
