Tehran (Lord Media): The Iranian military has rejected U.S. President Donald Trump’s claim that a deal with Iran would be signed today. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps stated that Iranian negotiators had already announced on Sunday that no agreement would be signed.
According to the Revolutionary Guard’s statement, President Trump wishes to hold the signing ceremony on June 14, coinciding with his birthday, to give it symbolic significance for personal promotion.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baqai indicated that the Islamabad Accord could be signed at any time in the coming days. The agreement aims to end the conflict immediately, with no clauses related to the nuclear program.
President Donald Trump had announced that a deal with Iran would be signed today, after which the Strait of Hormuz would be reopened and relations with Iran would improve. The agreement does not involve any financial exchange.
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also expressed hope that within 24 hours, a peace agreement between the U.S. and Iran would be finalized, thanking both countries for their cooperation.
