In the first half, Paraguay’s player Buba Dila mistakenly scored an own goal, giving the U.S. an early advantage. Following this, American player Balogun scored twice, securing a 3-0 lead for the U.S. by the end of the first half.
In the second half, Paraguay played aggressively but luck was not on their side. In the 73rd minute, Paraguay’s Marcio scored their only goal.
