Sargodha (Lord Media): Sargodha police have solved the mystery of an unidentified woman’s murder, whose body was found in a canal. According to the district police spokesperson, four days ago, the body of a woman with her throat slit was discovered near Bhalwal canal. Her identity was confirmed using her fingerprints through NADRA’s family tree system.
Upon identification, the woman’s husband was detained on suspicion. During interrogation, he confessed to the crime, revealing that he, with the help of his brother, used a sharp weapon to kill his wife and disposed of her body in the canal.
The suspect admitted to the police that he committed the murder to marry another woman, which he did the day after the killing. Police have arrested both suspects and recovered the murder weapon.
