Islamabad (Lord Media): The government has reduced the withholding tax on property transactions for filers. According to the budget speech, the withholding tax on property purchases for filers has been decreased from 2.5 percent to 1.25 percent, and on sales from 5.5 percent to 2.75 percent.
During the budget session in the National Assembly, Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb presented a federal budget exceeding 18 trillion Pakistani rupees.
