Refugee seats to remain, says law minister

Islamabad (Lord Media): Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar stated that the abolition of refugee seats is not possible as Kashmir and Pakistan are inseparable. Speaking in the National Assembly, he revealed that last year, the Prime Minister formed a special committee, of which 35 out of 38 demands have been approved.

An All Parties Conference was convened on the issue of Azad Kashmir, where it was decided that the assembly itself would decide on constitutional amendments. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court of Azad Kashmir has also issued a decision on this matter.

The law minister further claimed that foreign elements are involved in harming the Kashmir cause, and audio recordings have emerged confirming this. He mentioned that India’s response to Pakistan’s stance is intolerable.

He also noted that under Article 164, the federation is demanding its share from the provinces.
