US strikes in Iran disrupt peace efforts

Tehran (Lord Media): The United States launched a new wave of attacks on Iran on Wednesday night, disrupting efforts to end the conflict. Explosions were heard in Tehran, Qeshm, Bandar Abbas, Sirik, and Minab. The US CENTCOM stated that radar and communication systems in Iran were targeted. The attacks were attributed to threats against US forces and commercial ships.

An Iranian news agency reported that US and Iranian forces faced off in the Strait of Hormuz. The Revolutionary Guard claimed to have targeted US naval vessels. Attacks on US targets also occurred in Kuwait, Jordan, Bahrain, and the Iraqi city of Erbil.

Tasnim News Agency reported that the Khatam al-Anbia Command warned that any ship passing through the Strait of Hormuz would be targeted following the new US airstrikes, effectively closing the strait.

Later, US President Donald Trump claimed in a Fox News interview that the attacks would be halted at Iran’s request. However, Iran immediately denied this claim, stating that the US was forced to stop the attacks following a strong response.
