New York (Lord Media): A Taliban commander, Haji Najibullah, has been sentenced to 42 years in prison for his involvement in the kidnapping of American journalist David Rohde. The New York court delivered the sentence for aiding terrorism and hostage-taking.
According to an American newspaper, the 50-year-old Haji Najibullah held David Rohde and his two colleagues hostage for seven months. It is noteworthy that David Rohde was kidnapped in Afghanistan in 2008, and Haji Najibullah was also accused of attacking U.S. military convoys.
