Islamabad (Lord Media): The inclusion of new teams in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026 has significantly boosted the league’s revenue. According to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), PSL’s profit has risen from 2 billion Pakistani rupees to 7.5 billion Pakistani rupees.
During a meeting chaired by Senator Rana Mahmood-ul-Hassan, the Senate Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat was presented with details regarding PSL 2026’s expenses, revenue, and profit. PCB officials informed the committee that the increase in the number of teams to eight has enhanced the profits.
Documents reveal that the total expenses for PSL 2026 exceeded 2.64 billion Pakistani rupees, while the total revenue surpassed 10.19 billion Pakistani rupees. The PCB earned a pre-tax profit of 7.54 billion Pakistani rupees.
During PSL 2025, the PCB earned approximately 2 billion Pakistani rupees in profit, while in PSL 2024, the profit was 2.46 billion Pakistani rupees.
