Ancient artifacts discovered in Afghanistan’s Ghazni province

Archaeologists have discovered two dozen historical artifacts, including pottery items and a stone inscription, in eastern Afghanistan’s Ghazni province, according to the official Radio and Television of Afghanistan.

The relics were found over the past few days at a historic site known as Asfandeh in Ghazni city, the provincial capital.

Authorities said the collection includes 23 pottery pieces resembling water pipes and one stone inscription of historical significance.

All recovered items have been transferred to the Ghazni Museum for preservation and further study, the report added.

Officials did not provide additional details regarding the estimated age or historical period of the artifacts, but Ghazni is widely regarded as one of Afghanistan’s most significant archaeological regions, with a rich cultural heritage dating back centuries.
