Pakistan-Afghanistan dialogue process progressing: China

The process for talks between Pakistan and Afghanistan is being steadily advanced, and more information will be released in due course, said Mao Ning on Friday.

Speaking at a regular news briefing, Mao Ning noted that both Pakistan and Afghanistan have welcomed China’s mediation efforts and are willing to sit down for further discussions, describing the development as a positive sign for regional engagement.

The spokesperson did not provide specific timelines or details but indicated that diplomatic efforts are ongoing to facilitate dialogue between the two neighbouring countries.

China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China has been playing a mediatory role in encouraging constructive communication between Islamabad and Kabul, aiming to support stability and cooperation in the region.

According to Mao Ning, continued willingness from both sides to engage in talks reflects a constructive approach toward resolving issues through dialogue, with further updates expected as the process advances.
