A robot in China has amazed engineers by repairing a high-voltage electricity line, according to foreign media reports.
The Hubei Electric Power Research Institute, in collaboration with Wuhan State Grid, developed the electrician robot to perform complex electrical tasks with precision. Using laser-cutting technology, the robot can connect sub-wires to main lines, secure connections accurately, and resolve other technical issues efficiently.
Technician Wu Zhen said the robot is capable of operating in highly complicated wiring environments. He highlighted that its use eliminates the risk of electric shocks for humans entirely.
The experiment was conducted in Chongxin County, aiming to enhance safety for workers performing electricity-related tasks in dangerous or challenging conditions.
