ISLAMABAD (Lord Media): Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephonic conversation with Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand, discussing defense agreements between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkiye, as well as the overall regional situation, according to a Foreign Office spokesperson.
Dar informed his Canadian counterpart about the objectives of the defense agreements and the shared commitment to peace and stability in the region.
The two leaders reviewed the emerging situation in light of tensions between the United States and Iran, and assessed regional developments. Dar also discussed the situation in occupied Jerusalem and the recent meeting held in Jordan with the Canadian Foreign Minister.
The Deputy Prime Minister expressed gratitude for the Canadian Foreign Minister’s recent visit to Pakistan, agreeing to maintain close contact on matters of mutual interest. Both countries expressed their commitment to further enhancing communication and cooperation.
According to the Foreign Office, there was an agreement to continue high-level contacts between Pakistan and Canada, emphasizing the importance of mutual consultation on the rapidly changing regional situation.
