ISLAMABAD (Lord Media): Over 30 million rupees worth of drugs have been seized during anti-smuggling operations across the country. According to an ANF spokesperson, 8 suspects were arrested in 7 operations targeting drug smuggling in various cities.
During these operations, 383.6 kilograms of drugs valued at over 30.5 million rupees were recovered. At Bacha Khan Airport, 9.2 kilograms of ice were found hidden in a pilgrim’s bag bound for Jeddah. Additionally, 294 kilograms of hashish, a 30 bore pistol, 1 magazine, and 6 rounds were seized from a vehicle near Karachi Hyderabad Toll Plaza.
In Quetta, 30 kilograms of hashish were seized from a motorcyclist near a hotel, while 13.2 kilograms of hashish were recovered from a house in Dina, leading to the arrest of the suspect. Near Sohrab Goth in Karachi, 12 kilograms of hashish were confiscated from two suspects, and 7.2 kilograms of hashish were found in a vehicle near Turkei Toll Plaza, Jhelum, resulting in the arrest of the suspect.
In Karachi, 18 kilograms of hashish were discovered in two fiber boxes at a courier office. The spokesperson stated that cases have been registered under the Anti-Narcotics Act 1997, and investigations have commenced. ANF officials continue their operations to eradicate drugs nationwide.
