KARACHI (Lord Media): British-Pakistani former world boxing champion Amir Khan attended the FIFA World Cup semi-final between France and Spain at the Lyari International Football Stadium, where he received a warm welcome. The stadium resounded with chants of ‘Long live Pakistan,’ to which Khan responded by waving.

A large screen was set up at the Lyari Football Stadium for the match, attracting a significant number of local enthusiasts who thoroughly enjoyed the game. Fans were thrilled by Amir Khan’s presence, chanting excitedly.

Speaking to Express News, Amir Khan remarked that Lyari is rich in talent and passion for sports, dubbing it ‘Mini Brazil.’ He noted that boxing is the second favorite sport in the area and expressed his desire to establish a boxing academy in Karachi, with support from Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Nabil Gabol.

Khan added that his favorite football team is the UK, and the event featured an impressive fireworks display.
