Iranian parliament demands end to US accord

TEHRAN (Lord Media): Following the imposed conflict with the United States, the Iranian Parliament held its first session, where members demanded retribution for Ayatollah Khamenei’s martyrdom and the termination of the reconciliation memorandum with the US. In the session, 180 members issued a statement calling for an end to the memorandum with the US and the adoption of a new path.

This was the first session in four months, during which amendments were approved allowing virtual meetings in emergency situations.

A bill concerning the strategic management of the Strait of Hormuz was also presented, and a pledge was made to fully support the armed forces.

In the 290-member parliament, 180 members carried red flags as a symbol of revenge. The session also saw a demand for the establishment of a special negotiation commission.
