IMF forecasts 8.4% inflation in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD (Lord Media): The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has projected that inflation in Pakistan will reach 8.4% during the fiscal year 2026-27, exceeding the government’s target. This estimate was presented in the IMF’s country report on Pakistan.

The IMF has also forecasted a decrease in inflation rates for the next four fiscal years in Pakistan. According to the report, it is expected that inflation will be lower in the coming fiscal years compared to the current one.

Furthermore, the report indicated that average inflation in Pakistan is estimated to remain in single digits for five consecutive years. In the past two fiscal years, average inflation has also remained in single digits.
