TEHRAN (Lord Media): Former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has dismissed a report by the American newspaper, the New York Times, which alleged his involvement with Israeli Mossad in a regime change plot. Ahmadinejad also refuted claims of being under house arrest.
Ahmadinejad’s office accused the New York Times of publishing fabricated reports to mislead the public and exacerbate internal divisions in Iran. The office labeled the newspaper’s allegations as absurd and entirely false.
The New York Times had reported that in recent years, Mossad attempted to persuade Ahmadinejad to cooperate with Israel and presented him as a potential candidate for Iran’s leadership. However, Ahmadinejad has rejected these claims as well.
