MUMBAI (Lord Media): Indian actor Muzammil Ibrahim has issued a clarification regarding viral clips from an old interview about actress Deepika Padukone. He stated that his comments are being presented out of context.
Clips from Muzammil Ibrahim’s 2025 interview have recently circulated on social media, where he claimed that Deepika proposed to him at the start of her career, but he declined the offer.
Following these statements, Muzammil faced severe criticism on social media. He released a statement on Instagram, explaining that the viral clips do not reflect the complete conversation and that editing has ignored the original context.
Muzammil Ibrahim emphasized that he speaks respectfully about people from his past and holds no negative feelings towards anyone.
He also mentioned in the interview that even after their relationship ended, he and Deepika occasionally communicated, congratulating each other on professional successes, but contact ceased after Deepika’s marriage.
It is noteworthy that Deepika Padukone married Ranveer Singh in 2018, and the couple is now expecting their second child.
