ISLAMABAD (Lord Media): Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of the Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir arrived in Turkiye on Monday for a two-day official visit, state media reported.
Field Marshal Asim Munir received a warm welcome upon his arrival, according to security sources.
During the visit, he is expected to hold important meetings with Turkish military and political leaders to discuss mutual interests and bilateral cooperation.
The visit follows the recent trip by Turkish Land Forces Commander General Metin Tokel to Pakistan, where he discussed regional security dynamics and defence cooperation with Field Marshal Asim Munir, as per Inter-Services Public Relations.
General Tokel also met with the chiefs of the Pakistan Navy and Air Force during his visit.
Earlier this month, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited Turkiye to discuss expanding economic and trade cooperation.
