KARACHI (Lord Media): Flour mill owners have announced an Rs8 per kg reduction in the ex-mill price of flour. This decision was made following successful negotiations between Karachi Commissioner Syed Hassan Naqvi and flour mill owners at the commissioner’s office, as directed by Sindh Chief Secretary Syed Asif Haider Shah.
Following the flour mill owners’ decision, the ex-mill price of flour will decrease from Rs133 to Rs125. As a result, wholesale and retail prices of flour are also expected to decrease. The meeting concluded with the decision to implement the price reduction immediately.
The Flour Mills Association has also announced that fair price stalls will be set up to provide citizens with flour at reduced prices, offering relief to the public.
