WASHINGTON (Lord Media): In a first, U.S. forces have launched aerial and maritime attacks using sea drones in Iran’s Khuzestan province. According to Iranian state news agencies, targets were hit in Ahvaz, Behbahan, Dezful, Omidiyeh, Mahshahr, Abadan, and Shadegan, resulting in one fatality and four injuries.
Iranian officials have detailed these attacks, stating that U.S. missiles targeted two locations around Ahvaz, with additional strikes in other cities. The deputy governor of Khuzestan has denied any attack on Bandar Khomeini.
According to the U.S. Central Command, these operations aimed to weaken Iran’s ability to conduct attacks in the Strait of Hormuz. U.S. forces employed fighter jets, naval ships, and both aerial and maritime drones to strike dozens of targets.
CENTCOM further stated that the Strait of Hormuz is a crucial maritime passage for global trade, and Iran does not control it. U.S. forces are deployed to ensure the free movement of commercial vessels.
