TEHRAN (Lord Media): Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baghaei stated that blaming Iran for defending itself is irresponsible. He emphasized that actions against U.S. military bases on the southern coast of the Persian Gulf are Iran’s right under international law.
Baghaei further remarked that countries providing their land and bases to the U.S. should reconsider, as holding Iran accountable is irresponsible.
Responding to a statement by the United Nations Secretary-General’s spokesperson, Baghaei insisted on the correct usage of the name Persian Gulf.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has urged both the U.S. and Iran to cease hostilities and resume negotiations.
