CHILAS (Lord Media): The final official results for the re-polling in Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly constituency GBA-15 Diamer-I have been released, declaring independent candidate Muhammad Dilpazeer as the winner.
According to Form-49 issued by the Returning Officer, Muhammad Dilpazeer secured victory with 6,033 votes. His closest rival, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) candidate Waliur Rehman, received 4,639 votes, coming in second.
Pakistan Peoples Party candidate Bashir Ahmed Khan secured 4,110 votes, placing third, while independent candidate Aurangzeb obtained 3,793 votes, ranking fourth. Istehkam Pakistan Party’s Haji Shah Baig garnered 3,353 votes, and Pakistan Muslim League (N) candidate Abdul Wajid received 3,271 votes.
The Returning Officer reported that 29,338 valid votes were cast, with 219 votes rejected. The total number of registered voters in the constituency was 45,225. Following the re-polling, recount, and completion of legal formalities, Muhammad Dilpazeer’s victory was officially notified.
