Minorities face growing concerns in India’s Maharashtra

MUMBAI (Lord Media): In India’s Maharashtra state, minorities are facing challenges under Hindu extremists. Under BJP’s government and RSS’s influence, India is becoming increasingly unsafe for minorities.

Incidents of violence against Muslim and Christian communities, along with attacks on places of worship and properties, have risen. In Arla village of Sangli district, Muslims are facing economic hardships following attacks by Hindu extremists.

According to the Hindustan Gazette, after an economic boycott announced at a June 9 event, villagers have ceased or limited transactions with Muslims.

Finance Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule has announced that all lands owned by Christian missionary organizations will be scrutinized. A Christian delegation had requested protection from Mumbai police.

Human rights activist Harsh Mander stated that BJP and RSS support an India where Muslims and Christians live as second-class citizens.
