KARACHI (Lord Media): The Pakistan Navy and Maritime Security Agency successfully rescued 20 individuals from a sinking cargo boat east of Ormara. The operation was conducted after the boat, carrying a Pakistani crew, began taking on water, posing a significant risk of sinking.
Upon receiving information from the Joint Maritime Information and Coordination Centre, an immediate response was initiated. The ISPR stated that the Navy dispatched the warship PNS Hinin and aerial resources to the location promptly, ensuring the safe evacuation of all 20 crew members.
The rescued individuals are receiving necessary medical care and are reported to be in satisfactory condition, according to the Navy.
A spokesperson highlighted that the successful operation reflects the professional capabilities and swift response of the Pakistan Navy and the Maritime Security Agency, underscoring their commitment to safeguarding lives at sea. The agencies reaffirmed their readiness to handle any maritime emergencies around the clock.
