ISLAMABAD (Lord Media): Pakistan’s seafood exports reached 568 million U.S. dollars during the fiscal year 2025-26, reflecting the country’s expanding blue economy and growing compliance with international quality standards, the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) said on Wednesday.
In a statement, the SIFC said the strong export performance highlights Pakistan’s increasing presence in global seafood markets and demonstrates the country’s commitment to strengthening its fisheries sector.
According to the council, Pakistan exports a wide range of premium frozen seafood to markets across the world through an export-friendly ecosystem that supports trade and ensures compliance with international quality standards.
The SIFC said that as global demand for seafood continues to grow, Pakistan is expanding its footprint as a reliable seafood exporter while emerging as an attractive destination for investment in the blue economy.
It added that continued efforts to improve quality standards, facilitate exports and attract investment are expected to further boost the competitiveness of Pakistan’s fisheries industry and contribute to the country’s economic growth.
