Court orders release of businessman from rehabilitation center

LAHORE (Lord Media): The Lahore High Court has ordered the immediate release of Nasir Khan Daultana from a rehabilitation center. The decision was made during a hearing concerning his alleged forced admission due to a property dispute.

During the hearing led by Justice Farooq Haider, Shadman Police presented Nasir Khan Daultana in court. Advocate Sughran Gulzar, representing the petitioner Aamir, informed the court that Daultana owns valuable commercial land in Luddan, District Vehari, which he had agreed to sell for 280 million rupees on June 19, 2026.

The petition alleged that following the land sale, Daultana’s four children declared him mentally ill and forcibly admitted him to a rehabilitation center on June 28, 2026, out of spite.

It was also revealed to the court that Daultana had already transferred 80 acres of land to his children. The petitioner requested the court to take notice of the illegal detention of a healthy individual in a rehabilitation center.

After hearing the arguments, the Lahore High Court ordered the release of Nasir Khan Daultana from the rehabilitation center.
