Rawalpindi (Lord Media): Bushra Bibi’s daughter, Mubashra Sheikh, has filed a petition against the jail administration in the session court. The petition was submitted through Advocate Faisal Malik.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Khurram Saleem issued notices to the prosecution, seeking a response by July 16. The court has adjourned further hearings until July 16.
The petition accuses jail official Maryam of alleged negligence, mistreatment, and inhumane behavior. Bushra Bibi reportedly complained of severe eye pain, but timely attention was not provided.
The petition claims that due to the lack of timely treatment, Bushra Bibi’s eye condition worsened, necessitating immediate surgery. Despite complaints about the inhumane behavior of jail official Maryam, her conduct remained inappropriate and unprofessional.
