Lahore (Lord Media): The Punjab government has announced significant changes in the bureaucracy, issuing notifications for the appointments and transfers of several senior officials. Zahid Pervaiz has been appointed as the Additional Secretary of Welfare, with a formal notification issued for his appointment.
Similarly, Additional Secretary of Budget and Finance Ali Bukhari has been transferred to the position of Additional Secretary of Admin, Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD), with the notification also released.
In contrast, the Punjab government has withdrawn the earlier notification appointing Additional Secretary Finance Naveed Ahmed as Additional Secretary of the Energy Department. However, no formal announcement has been made regarding his new appointment or future responsibilities.
According to government sources, these appointments and transfers aim to enhance administrative efficiency and improve the capacity of various departments. Further transfers and appointments are also anticipated.
