Bilawal thanks PM for accepting GB mandate

Islamabad (Lord Media): Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for acknowledging the PPP’s mandate in Gilgit-Baltistan. Speaking at the oath-taking ceremony of Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Amjad Hussain Advocate, Bilawal noted the support from Muslim League representatives and emphasized collaborative efforts for the region’s development.

Bilawal highlighted the enduring legacy of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto among the people of Gilgit-Baltistan, paying tribute to his sacrifices. He expressed a commitment to securing constitutional rights for the region’s residents and envisioned a future where their representatives would join him in the National Assembly.

He further pledged that the People’s Party would fulfill its promise of land ownership rights and suggested the potential for farming through public-private partnerships in Gilgit-Baltistan. Bilawal assured that an economic environment would be created to provide employment opportunities for the locals.

Bilawal remarked that politics in Pakistan often equates to conflict and enmity, but in Gilgit-Baltistan, governance belongs to both winners and losers. He announced plans to hold local elections in Gilgit-Baltistan before winter.
