Karachi (Lord Media): Two young motorcyclists were injured in a police shooting near Singer Chowrangi in Korangi, Karachi, as captured in a video that has surfaced. The video shows police officers and the motorcyclists lying on the road. The injured, identified as Athar and Abdul Razzaq, were immediately taken to the hospital, with Athar reported to be in critical condition.
According to police sources, the officers signaled the motorcyclists to stop after deeming them suspicious, but they sped up, prompting the police to chase and eventually open fire.
The police have stated that an inquiry has been assigned to SP Landhi Safiullah to ensure a transparent investigation. All evidence, including the surfaced video, will be reviewed to ascertain the facts.
