London (Lord Media): In a major upset at the Wimbledon Tennis Tournament, defending champion Iga Swiatek from Poland was defeated by Alexandra Eala of the Philippines in the third round, securing her place in the pre-quarterfinals. Eala won the first set in a tiebreaker with 11 points to 9 and triumphed in the second set 6-2.
In the men’s singles, Australia’s Alex de Minaur defeated American opponent Zachary. De Minaur advanced to the pre-quarterfinals with a 6-2, 5-7, 6-2, 6-4 victory.
