Vienna (Lord Media): Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry attended the high-level meeting of the ‘Global Alliance to Counter Migrant Smuggling’ in Vienna. During the meeting, the European Union lauded Pakistan’s effective measures to curb illegal migration.
Talal Chaudhry stated that due to the strategies of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, illegal migration has decreased by 47 percent, making Pakistan’s successful strategy a model for the world.
He further added that illegal migration is not just a border issue but a global challenge, requiring joint strategies, modern technology, intelligence sharing, and international cooperation.
Talal Chaudhry emphasized that promoting safe, orderly, and legal migration and increasing legal opportunities are essential to effectively curb illegal migration and human smuggling. The participants also praised the effective performance of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) against illegal migration.
