Islamabad (Lord Media): Pakistan and China have reiterated their commitment to supporting negotiations for a peaceful resolution to the US-Iran tensions, in accordance with the United Nations Charter. The Foreign Office spokesperson stated that Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar spoke with China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi over the phone, extending congratulations on the 105th anniversary of the CPC.
The two leaders discussed the negotiations mediated by Pakistan and Qatar in the Swiss city of Bergunstock. Ishaq Dar informed Wang Yi that a high-level committee has been established in Islamabad under a memorandum of understanding. Three working groups have also been formed to address nuclear issues, sanctions, and conflict resolution, aiming to reach a final agreement within 60 days.
The Chinese Foreign Minister praised Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts and emphasized the importance of resolving conflicts peacefully, in line with the UN Charter.
