Customs seize non-duty paid vehicles, goods

Hyderabad (Lord Media): Pakistan Customs Collectorate of Customs (Enforcement) Hyderabad has seized non-duty paid vehicles and smuggled goods worth over 77 million rupees. According to the FBR, successful intelligence-based operations were conducted during the ongoing anti-smuggling campaign.

The FBR reported that 21 non-duty paid vehicles, valued at approximately 61 million rupees, were seized last week. These included both passenger and commercial types.

Enforcement teams also intercepted six consignments of smuggled general goods, with a total value of 10.098 million rupees. The seized items included electronic goods, banned gutka, industrial products, and textiles.

Similarly, in operations against petroleum product smuggling, 15,000 liters of high-speed diesel and smuggled petrol were confiscated, with a total value of approximately 5.867 million rupees.

Pakistan Customs has initiated legal action against all involved parties and further investigations are underway against the networks involved in smuggling.
