Muzaffarabad (Lord Media): Inspector General of Azad Kashmir Liaqat Ali Malik stated that the first shot was fired by the protestors, justifying the police’s right to return fire.

The IG further mentioned that the protest leader was shot from behind while the police were in front. He urged the public not to believe rumors and noted that police officers were deployed to protect the injured protestors.
The IG accused certain miscreants of working on a specific agenda, including burning the Pakistani flag in front of the Indian consulate. He condemned the insults to army martyrs and the use of women and children as shields during protests.
