Islamabad (Lord Media): A 5.4 magnitude earthquake was felt in various parts of the federal capital, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Punjab. According to the Meteorological Department, the earthquake had a depth of 215 kilometers and its epicenter was in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan.
Tremors were experienced in Islamabad, Peshawar, Battagram, Swat, Abbottabad, and surrounding areas, prompting residents to rush outdoors.
Rescue 1122 issued an alert advising the public to contact 1122 in case of any emergency.
According to the Punjab Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), tremors were also felt in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Mianwali, Multan, Potohar region, and other districts of Punjab. No casualties or property damage have been reported in Punjab, according to the spokesperson.
