NASA tests Pakistan-made FIFA 2026 football in space

Washington (Lord Media): A FIFA 2026 football, manufactured in Pakistan, has reached space following its journey on the field. NASA astronauts conducted a scientific experiment with the advanced football on the International Space Station (ISS).

The experiment was carried out inside the station’s Cupola module, where the football was observed floating in a weightless environment.

Astronauts used the Adidas-designed ‘Trivunda’ ball to study how it behaves in microgravity.

The purpose of this experiment was to understand how the balance and weight of the football affect its movement during play. NASA noted that a similar experiment was conducted in 2019.

The experiment demonstrated how differences in balance can alter the football’s movement.

According to FIFA, the name ‘Trivunda’ is derived from the Spanish word for ‘three waves,’ reflecting the World Cup’s hosting by the three countries: the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

The Adidas-made Trivunda is set to be used during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
