Finance Minister unveils faceless tax system

Islamabad (Lord Media): Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb announced the introduction of a faceless tax system, eliminating direct contact between taxpayers and tax officers. Speaking at the National Assembly’s budget session, he credited Field Marshal Asim Munir, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and the public for dissipating the clouds of war in the region, highlighting Pakistan’s significant role in establishing peace.

The Finance Minister further stated that the economic stability achieved was due to the direction set by the Prime Minister in the previous budget. He noted that industries are performing better, the current account deficit has turned into a surplus, and there has been a 20% increase in IT exports.

Muhammad Aurangzeb emphasized that fundamental reforms have been made in the tax system, and positive criticism of the FBR’s performance is welcome. He assured that taxpayers will no longer need direct contact with officers.
