Rawalpindi (Lord Media): Juvenile driving permits have been issued for 16-year-old boys and girls. According to a traffic spokesperson, the permits will be issued with parental consent, requiring a smart card or B-form.
Chief Traffic Officer Farhan Aslam stated that these permits will only allow riding motorcycles up to 125cc. Applicants must pass a sign and road test to receive the permit on the spot. An annual fee of 500 to 1000 rupees is set.
The CTO emphasized that helmet use is mandatory, and serious violations will lead to permit cancellation. This initiative aims to ensure adherence to traffic laws among youth to reduce road accident rates.
