Lahore (Lord Media): The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced the implementation of a new central contract system effective from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027. According to Cricinfo, players eligible for the central contract must have played at least 4 Test matches, 6 ODIs, or 6 T20 Internationals in the past 12 months.
Under the new system, players are categorized into different tracks. Top Test specialists in Track A will receive a monthly salary of 4 million rupees, while top players in both Test and ODI formats in Track A B will earn 4.8 million rupees monthly.
White-ball specialists in Track B C will be paid 3.4 million rupees per month, and T20 specialists in Track C will receive 2.6 million rupees monthly. Players in Track C will be allowed to participate in T20 leagues worldwide.
A special provision for emerging players in Track D has been set, offering a monthly stipend of 1 million rupees.
New match fee rates have also been established, with Test match fees set at 1.5 million rupees, ODI fees at 750,000 rupees, and T20 International match fees at 500,000 rupees.
