Qom (Lord Media): An Iranian court has sentenced singer Parastoo Ahmadi and eight other members of the Caravanserai concert group to 74 lashes each. The court issued the verdict on charges of posting obscene and indecent content online.
The Qom provincial court cited provisions of Islamic law in delivering the uniform punishment to each member. Additionally, the court has banned the singer from leaving the country and participating in art-related activities for two years.
The court’s decision will be published in national media to raise public awareness.
