Sexual exploitation uncovered in Chad camps

Chad (Lord Media): Incidents of sexual exploitation of women and young girls have been uncovered in Sudanese refugee camps in Chad. An internal investigation in the Central African country revealed that some aid workers allegedly exploited women and girls sexually. The report highlighted allegations of sexual relations in exchange for food, water, jobs, and aid, with 59 complaints filed and 18 employees dismissed.

The investigation raised concerns that some incidents had escalated into organized sexual trafficking. MSF admitted serious flaws in its system and acknowledged the need for further steps to ensure justice for the victims.
