Pakistan women lose to South Africa by 2 wickets

Birmingham (Lord Media): Pakistan’s team faced a second consecutive defeat in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, losing to South Africa by 2 wickets. Batting first, Pakistan scored 126 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs, with captain Fatima Sana playing a remarkable innings of 55 runs.

Due to poor running between the wickets, four Pakistani batters were run out. In response, the Pakistani bowlers performed well, sending South African batters back to the pavilion at regular intervals.

South Africa chased the target of 127 runs in the 17th over, losing 8 wickets. Dirksen scored 52, and De Klerk added 37 runs, leading their team to victory.

Pakistan’s next match will be against Bangladesh on Saturday. It is noteworthy that Pakistan faced defeat against India in their opening match.
