Gang arrested for fake currency, documents

Lahore (Lord Media): Police in Lahore have arrested a gang, including a father and son, involved in producing counterfeit currency, identity cards, degrees, and official documents. According to a spokesperson for the DIG Operations, an intelligence-based operation led to the capture of four members of a well-organized forgery network. The suspects were involved in creating fake currency, identity cards, educational degrees, and government documents.

Police uncovered a factory-like setup used for forgery, seizing a large quantity of materials. The four-member gang, including the father and sons, operated a sophisticated forgery network in Lahore. The suspects produced counterfeit Pakistani and foreign currency, supplying it to various districts and abroad. Seized items include fake domestic and foreign currency, printing machines, computers, and chemicals.

The gang leader, Riaz, revealed that he received advanced color matching training abroad. The arrested suspects include Riaz, Sajan Riaz, Imran, and Asif. A case has been registered against them at Shahdara Town Police Station, and further investigations are underway.
