Tehran (Lord Media): Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that the end of war in Iran also signifies the complete cessation of conflict in Lebanon. He emphasized that the war cannot be considered fully concluded until Israeli forces withdraw from the Lebanese territories occupied during the conflict.
Addressing foreign diplomats, Araghchi highlighted that ending the war in Lebanon is an integral and inseparable part of the overall peace process. He asserted that the conflict remains unresolved as long as Israeli troops remain in those areas.
The Iranian Foreign Minister further warned that any additional Israeli attacks on Lebanon would be viewed as a violation of the memorandum of understanding by Iran. Araghchi revealed that the heads of the negotiating teams will meet in Geneva on Friday, and negotiations between Iran and the United States will commence immediately after the signing of the memorandum.
U.S. President Donald Trump announced that a preliminary agreement to end the war between the U.S. and Iran has been signed, though the details of the agreement have not yet been disclosed. Speaking at the G7 summit, President Trump claimed that the agreement is fully signed.
According to reports, the agreement will extend the fragile ceasefire announced in April by an additional 60 days. As a result of the agreement, the Strait of Hormuz, which Iran effectively closed in February following attacks by the U.S. and Israel, will be reopened.
