Islamabad (Lord Media): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced in the National Assembly that the United States and Iran have declared an end to military actions, paving the way for a historic peace agreement to be signed in Geneva on June 19. Pakistan will host the peace agreement ceremony.
The Prime Minister stated that Iran and the US have agreed to cease military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon, and expressed gratitude to Allah for this achievement. He also congratulated the people of Pakistan, including leaders Nawaz Sharif, Asif Zardari, and Bilawal Bhutto.
Shehbaz Sharif thanked the US President, Iranian Supreme Leader, and Iranian President, as well as Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, and China for their support in the peace process.
He praised Field Marshal Asim Munir for his extraordinary role in facilitating the ceasefire and acknowledged Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Iranian Ambassador Reza Amiri-Moqaddam for their contributions.
The Prime Minister noted that the conflict had strained Pakistan’s economy, but the improvement in global economic conditions will now benefit the public.
