PCB to increase match fees for national cricketers

Lahore (Lord Media): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to increase the match fees for national cricketers across all formats, including Test, One Day International (ODI), and Twenty20 (T20). Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi announced that playing domestic cricket will be mandatory for central contracts, and players not meeting the set standards will not be contracted.

Naqvi further disclosed that five categories are being introduced for contracts, with separate strategies for T20, ODI, and Test cricket.

He added that the selection system for players is becoming more computerized, with approximately 85 percent of decisions based on data, fitness, and performance. The decision regarding Test captaincy will be made by the relevant team and selection officials.
